Time:
6.30-8.30pm
Venue:
The Broadway Bookshop, London, E8 4QJ

Join us on March 23rd 6:30-8:30pm, to celebrate The Latin Programme’s 2022/23 Poetry Prize, in partnership with The Broadway Bookshop and Good Food. At our special in-person event, you’ll be welcomed with drinks and nibbles (generously provided by Good Food  and Ruttle & Rowe), followed by selected readings from our shortlisted poets.

The prompt for this year’s prize (now in its third year!) was ars longa, vita brevis (‘art/craft is long, life is short’). Entrants were asked to produce a poem in English, taking inspiration from the Latin phrase. Our shortlist, runners-up and winner were selected by our three brilliant judges, Seán Street, Brighde Mullins and Jonathan Goddard. Head here for the longlist and shortlist announcement, and here to purchase the longlist booklet, featuring our fifteen longlisted poems.

This event has sold out.
