Rebecca trained and practised as a company law solicitor at Freshfields in London before moving into legal publishing for many years.  More recently, she has been involved in the charity/educational sector both as a governor of a secondary school, trustee of a nursery school, trustee of a grant-making foundation and now as a trustee of The Latin Programme.
She studied Latin and Greek to A Level but switched to read Law at Cambridge University. Her interest in Latin was rekindled through her children, three of whom are now studying and enjoying the language and she was motivated by this to study for an OU Latin course. Now living in Cambridge, she keeps in touch with events at the Classics department of the University and firmly believes in the value of studying Latin to improve literacy.
